Preparation

Three areas to prepare first

Organize inventory, permits, and fragile items before the crew arrives.

Inventory

Tag every item

Label each box and piece of furniture with its room of origin and destination. Keep a simple inventory list so nothing is missed at unloading.

Permits

Confirm building access

Check your building's move-in guidelines early, including lift booking, access times, and any approval forms the management office requires before moving day.

Fragile items

Pack with care

Wrap glassware, electronics, and wardrobe sets separately. Use padded cartons for fragile pieces and keep chargers and documents in a clearly marked bag.

Moving day

A clear sequence for the day

01

Confirm utilities

Arrange final meter readings and handover of water, electricity, and internet services for the old and new addresses.

02

Secure building access

Confirm lift reservations and loading-bay times with building management so the crew can arrive and unload on schedule.

03

Check items at loading

Walk through each room with the crew, matching labels against the inventory list before items leave the property.

04

Inspect on arrival

Verify each box and piece of furniture at the new address, and note any concerns while the crew is still present.
